Academic Curriculum

Annalisa Dalmoro graduated in Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, in March 2009, then she gained the Ph.D. degree in Science and Technologies for chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry – Chemical Engineering in 2013. Starting from April 2013 she received a contract of cooperation with the Department of Industrial Engineering and two annual research grants from the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Salerno, one of which is still ongoing.

The research activity of Ing. Annalisa Dalmoro was carried out in TPP group (www.minerva.unisa.it) at the University of Salerno, even with cooperation contracts, on the processes for the production of solid dosage forms using different methods and on the development of materials for biomedical applications. In particular, she focused her work on the design and building of a semi-continuous bench-scale apparatus for the production of shell-core microparticles using two non-conventional technologies, such as ultrasonic atomization and microwave drying; on the production of micro and nano systems through multiple emulsions obtained by ultrasonic energy; on the synthesis of enteric polymers for pharmaceutical applications; on the study of the crosslinking phenomena of alginates in alginate/pluronic mixtures combined with the study of the applicability of such mixtures for in-situ coating of coronary stents. Moreover, she was also involved in granulation processes for stabilization of animal feed, in stabilization of foaming agents for food by spray drying, and in fruits, grains and legumes processing by microwaves, through collaborative projects with companies.

Her didactic activity consisted in monographic seminars and collaborations in the frame of Release and directing of drugs courses (A.Y. 2011/2012-2012/2013-2013/2014), Plants in Pharmaceutical Industry courses (A.Y. 2011/2012), Plants and Processes in Pharmaceutical Industry courses (A.Y. 2012/2013 – 2013/2014 ), and Analysis of cosmetics courses (A.Y. 2013/2014). She was a member of the examination committees of Principles of Chemical Engineering and of Plants in Pharmaceutical Industry, from the academic year 2010/2011 to the academic year 2012/2013; of Chemical Reactors in the academic year 2011/2012, of Transport Phenomena in food processes in the academic year 2012/2013; of Chemical plants for Pharmaceutical Industry, from the academic year 2010/2011 to the academic year 2013/2014; of Release and directing of drugs and of Analysis of cosmetics, in the academic year 2013/2014. She was co-advisor for 17 B.Sc. and M.Sc. thesis in Chemical Engineering (12), in Pharmacy (3) and in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (2).

She was a referee for the international journals: Journal of Microencapsulation, Journal of Chemical Technology & Biotechnology, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research.

She produced 39 papers, of which 20 are published on international journals, 14 are communications to international conferences, 4 are communications to national conferences, and 1 is a paper published on national journals.
